Dewald Vermaak, sole director of Vermaak Attorneys, gave me the task of redesigning his corporate identity. His previous logo was text heavy and lacking that special something.

 

The only instructions were to use shades of blue and to illustrate a steam train, as these were a few of his favourite things. The result is a mixture of bold and minimal elements which are simplistic yet striking.

A low poly effect and gradients were used to break up the solid whites whilst also creating a three dimensional effect.

Programs utilized include, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, to illustrate the logo and design the business card layout.
